This past Saturday, Carly competed in the North Carolina Weightlifting Championships. She went 2/6 and hit 53 kg (116 lbs) in the snatch and 70 kg (154 lbs) in the C&J for a 123 kg total. Even though she was hoping for some higher numbers since these were a bit lower than her training maxes, she maintained a positive attitude and kept her focus to hit successful lifts. She ended the day in 2nd place in her weight class! Which is to say we have a North Carolina State runner-up on our hands!
Kris headed to Charleston, South Carolina this weekend to compete in a very well respected competition called Integrity’s Revenge at CrossFit Integrity. Some of you might remember that Kris went to this competition as part of a 2-person team last year and got 2nd place. This year, she went in as an individual and across 3 days of competition, took 1st place in the female RX division. She led the leaderboard for the majority of the weekend, but the final scoring resulted in a “Winner Take All” situation going into the final workout (1st, 2nd, 3rd were all within 4 points of each other). Kris got her gameface on and rose to the pressure, winning the final WOD to secure her spot atop the leaderboard.
