What a weekend!  Thanks to everyone who helped out – you guys are amazing!  We’ve gotten mostly positive feedback from competitors and spectators this weekend and I would like to personally thank you guys for working your tails off to help us run such a memorable event!

The main committee: Dallas, Ashley, Greg, Liz – thank you.  Lots of long hours, reply-all email chains, and firefighting throughout the weekend.

Dallas – for an incredible job running your logistics team.  They worked like caffeinated nascar pit crew.  We were never in a position where we had to wait for equipment setup and it’s undeniably due to your leadership.  Also for running around on Saturday with me to avoid a parking disaster.  But mostly, thanks for putting up with me and my crazy ideas.

Ashley – thanks for your detail oriented/perfectionist mindset and managing all the on-site vendors, despite your love of Under Armour.

Liz – thanks for managing an entire off-site warehouse and check-in/prize pack assembly station, and being quick to help with darn near anything.

Greg – You has skillz.  Website, graphic design, photography, Toes-to-Bar.  What can’t you do?  The camera-to-social media turnaround time was incredible.

My judges – Satana, Anmar, Kris, Roger, Lorena, Kim, Eron – thank you guys for upholding movement standards and being flexible to work with a dynamic schedule on both days.  Kris, Kim, Roger – thanks for agreeing to judge the day before you guys competed.  Judging workouts is more physically taxing than most estimate.

Sarah – For setting the bar high as the MC on Day 1.  Also for rescuing me from HSPU-Scoring-Hell where I was sweatin’ bullets and calming me down so we could get to a reasonable decision.  And also a huge thanks to Meg for her photography!

Jess and Lorena – For helping us to a Top-5 finish on Day 1, as well as your help on Friday before the big day and your now expert floor taping skills.  Jess, great work as MC on Day 2!

Sam B and Brent – for putting up with my spreadsheets and fine tuning our score submission process.  Also props to Brent for helping brainstorm scoring with me at the end of Day2.

Lindsey, Sam P, Maggie, Katherine, Kara, Liz for holding down the fort on the Side-door/athlete check in.

Corey for your help on Friday to setup and grilling all those burgers you couldn’t eat.

Elizabeth Cooper – for stepping in and providing input into logistics setup on Friday. We avoided a major gaffe in the Friday night session.

Andrew – for getting your wife involved with helping with the photos on Sunday.

Dennis for helping me move the turf for the 5 minutes he was in the gym on Friday dressed in work attire (and he thought he was just coming in to get his lifting shoes)

Jason, Terrence, Kevin, Jordan, Melinda, Justin – thank you guys for being an awesome pit crew and the hundreds of pounds of weights you loaded and unloaded, yards of caution tape stretched, and lifting of airdynes and rowers up and down stairs you did this weekend!

I feel incredibly grateful to be able to put on an event like this, and it absolutely could not happen without you guys working your tails off.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Every year I aim to be right there with you all and every year something comes up (travelling around the world, visiting the in-laws, moving across the country, etc.). It seems like you were all able to manage beautifully without me (although I don’t know how ;-)). Way to go everyone!! Clearly your dedication, hard work, and willingness to help was obvious and resulted in a very successful event. Can’t wait to see you all soon!
