    A. Hit 225 cleanly with no pressout, and then 236 with a slight pressout. It would have drawn red-lights at a Weightlifting competition. I’ve had issues in the past splitting low enough on the jerk but I’ve been able to see some progress on this in some recent sessions with some focused work. Hope this can clear up a big disparity between my clean and jerk loads (previously 40 lbs difference)
    B. 230 reps on tonights metcon.

    While I was lifting, I made a few observations to note:
    -Eron’s clean is starting to take shape nicely! Just gotta work on splitting and taking a longer stride!
    -David displays a really powerful 2nd pull and should work on transitioning from getting the weight up to getting himself under the bar, as well as getting his elbows all the way around – once this clicks, watch out.
    -Ian’s clean is also looking pretty solid!
    -Phil loves to talk some smack. Fortunately, my oly lifting ability is fueled by said smack.
    -Tony set a PA in his C&J @ 237 even though his split can only be properly described as ‘a ‘baby jerk’.
    -Both Steve (215) and Roger (205) have pretty solid form throughout their lifts. Steve, aim for a slightly higher spot on your leg in the clean, and Roger, shift your elbows slightly down for the jerk while maintaining bar to shoulder contact. For most people I would suggest jerking from the front rack position, but I think bringing the elbows down slightly will work better for you.
    -Snarles has become a pretty inspirational lifter. She weighs in somewhere between around 120 lbs and tonight just clean and jerked 163. That’s 135% BW.

    Nice job guys! If I didn’t mention you, it’s cause you were so awesome and nothing needed to be fixed. (kidding…sorta)
