How can this position be improved?

Hey yall, new Member’s Site post today featuring some photography by Annette!
Regarding Christine’s clean, I have three helpful critiques, one smart ass critique, and one positive compliment.
[helpful critiques purposefully left out]

Mouth should be open as wide as possible, preferably with gum and/or snack visible to spectators.

I like the hook grip.
question posed is “How can this position be improved?”
answer: Id suggest putting down the weight and starting over. In the photo here the weight is so far forward and just the beginning of the second pull, which suggests the first pull needs attention. Working on the first pull, the combined cue would be keep the weight back and get those knees back and out of the way.
Handstand Pushups 1, me 0.
Went to the wall on the set of 21 and started hitting muscle failure on the round of 15 and relegated myself to the box. Finished in 13 and change.
Hats off to Snarles and Kim for killing this one.
Bent arms at this position indicate a premature pull. If you look close, heels are barely off the ground, which means that weight has shifted forward too son. Also, as Seth mentioned, shoulders should be forward of the bar here instead of directly over.
Much respect to Christine though. The main reason she’s out of position is because she’s challenging herself. Few push the limits like this.
Great points Phil. I’m going to say the same thing you did cause I was typing this comment while you posted yours. Sooo…first thing that jumped out was bent arms before reaching full extension. The shoulders are slightly in front of the bar here but probably not as much as we would like. Weight is forward (heel off the ground) – at this position near the start of the second pull the weight should be between the heel and mid-foot. However this picture doesn’t quite indicate that there was necessarily something wrong with the first pull off the floor.
Good points: She’s locked in with the hook grip “HOOK IT AND BOOK IT!” Head is starting to get thrown back which is a good sign of an explosive extension, and last but not least, a pair of very stylish socks.
A pair of weightlifting shoes would go nicely with those socks. Just sayin’
I NEED MORE PELVIS!!!
